Faith Jones was a solid contributor to her varsity volleyball and girls soccer teams for Community Christian School this year, making her this week’s Farris & Thomas Law Student-Athlete of the Week.
Faith, who was saluted as the CCS Female Athlete of the Year last week, earned Mid-Atlantic Christian Athletic Association All-North Region honors and the team Defensive Player of the Year award as volleyball libero and team captain. The MVP of the CCS cheerleading squad, Faith was also a member of the Cyclones’ MACAA-champion soccer team.
The daughter of Rhonda Gates and Kevin Jones, Faith has a 3.3 GPA at CCS, where she is an honor-roll student and ranked 16th in her senior class. She also takes dual-enrollment courses through Wilson Community College. Faith will attend East Carolina University and major in speech therapy.
She is the president of Future Farmers of America at Community Christian and recently earned the Kathy & Ellis Williford 4-H Scholarship.
Faith has been a member of Kickin’ Klovers 4-H Club in Wilson for 12 years. She produced the champion calf at this year’s Wilson County Livestock Show and Sale. Faith organized and participated in an American Red Cross blood drive at CCS.
She plays volleyball for Eastern Elite Vollyeball Club and is an active member of Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church.
