BUIES CREEK — The Community Christian School boys basketball team topped Christ Covenant 65-43 in the quarterfinals of the MACAA playoffs Thursday night.

A spot in the championship game will be on the line for the Cyclones when they take on Trinity Christian on Friday, Feb. 23.

Evan Gattis scored a team-high 21 points in Thursday’s win for CCS, followed by Tavares Williams with 19 points, nine rebounds and three assists.

Adding nine points, six rebounds and five steals was Cale Pittman, as Cason Bryant and Cameron Harris each contributed six points apiece.
