NEWPORT — The Community Christian School junior varsity girls basketball team claimed a 31-24 win over homestanding Gramercy Christian on Friday.

Improving to 9-4 on the season with the win, the Cyclones will battle Faith Christian of Goldsboro on Tuesday, Jan. 23.

Leading the way in Friday’s victory was Autumn Bradshaw with 11 points, five steals and five rebounds, while Ava Dunn chipped in six points and three steals.
