Host Community Christian put the defensive heat on Bethel Christian, leading to a 27-6 girls basketball win for the Cyclones on Monday at the Peace Church gym.
“I was very pleased with the girls’ defensive pressure and unselfishness on the offensive end of the court tonight,” said CCS head coach Carl Bradshaw, who noted that seven of his 10 players entered the scoring column.
Autumn Bradshaw set the scoring pace with seven points to go with four steals, three rebounds and an assist while Ava Dunn totaled five points and four steals.
The Cyclones, now 6-3 overall, will visit Ahoskie Christian on Tuesday, Dec. 12.
SERVING OUR COMMUNITY
The junior varsity girls basketball team recently spent time serving our community. They received 10 gift cards from WenDesigns and delivered them to Hospice of Willson for their nursing staff. The team met with Allison Belcher and the office staff there and learned how hospice care serves our town.
