The Community Christian junior varsity girls basketball team suffered a narrow 26-25 loss to visiting Ahoskie Christian Academy on Thursday at Peace Church.

“I told the girls after the game that I was very pleased with their effort in the loss, and that this loss will help us as we move forward with conference games after Christmas,” CCS head coach Carl Bradshaw said.

Claire Carter led the Chargers, who fell to 4-3 on the year, with 10 points, six rebounds and three steals.

Adding seven points, two steals and a pair of assists in the loss was Autumn Bradshaw.
