Community Christian School junior varsity girls basketball team opened Mid-Atlantic Conference play with a 32-8 victory over visiting Christ Covenant at Peace Church Tuesday.
Autumn Bradshaw led the Cyclones to their first win of the season with eight points, four steals and a pair of rebounds.
With the win, CCS now sits at 1-1 overall and 1-1 in MACAA play and will look to move above .500 on Monday, Nov. 20 when it hosts Jacksonville Christian.
Also pacing the Cyclones to victory was Claire Carter, who finished with six points, four steals and four rebounds, while Anna Pierce added seven points.
For CCS, the victory came on the heels of a season opening loss Monday night to American Leadership Academy, as they fell 25-23.
Accounting for 18 points for CCS in the loss was Bradshaw, who also recorded six steals and an assist.
Carter followed with three points, three steals, a pair of assists and four rebounds, while Pierce led the team with six boards to go along with two points and two steals.
