Community Christian School opened its season with a dominant 74-31 victory over Christ Covenant on Tuesday night at Peace Church.
The Cyclones were led by a quartet of double-digit scorers in the 43-point win, as Evan Gattis led the way with 16 points, also coming away with three steals.
Chason Bryant followed with 15 points and four assists, as Jared Kovach added 14 points and five steals, and Jack Beamon scored 10 points and pulled down five rebounds.
Tavares Williams led CCS with 10 rebounds to go along with six points and five assists, as Cale Pittman finished with seven boards, four points, two blocks and two steals.
Community Christian is back in action on Friday, Nov. 17 and Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Cape Fear Christian Thanksgiving Tournament.
