Unbeaten Christ Covenant handed Community Christian its most decisive defeat of the varsity volleyball season, sweeping the visiting Cyclones 25-11, 25-17, 25-12, on Tuesday.
CCS, which lost its second straight, dropped to 3-4 overall and 1-2 in MACAA 2-A North play. It was the first time the Cyclones have been swept this season. The Spartans exited 6-0.
Gracie Beamon served six points and made two kills while Claire Carter also had a pair of kills. Autumn Bradshaw handed out five assists to go with two service points.
The Cyclones will visit Ahoskie Christian on Tuesday, Sept. 12.
