Community Christian was handed its first varsity boys soccer loss of 2023 by Mid-Atlantic Christian Athletic Association rival Trinity Christian, 4-1, on Tuesday at CCS.
The Cyclones, now 2-1 overall and 1-1 in MACAA play, fell behind 3-0 in the first half.
“Trinity beat us to space and they controlled the ball 75% of the half,” assessed CCS head coach Carl Bradshaw.
The Cyclones’ lone goal came in the 55th minute when Ian Whitley finished a corner kick by Abner Martinez.
The Cyclones will visit Christ Covenant for a conference test Tuesday in Winterville.
