The host Community Christian School volleyball team fell in a three-set thriller to the Johnston County Jaguars club team Monday at the Peace Church gym.

The Cyclones, who downed the Jaguars on their home court Aug. 18, dropped the first set 25-22 before cruising to a 25-14 win in game 2. The Jaguars pulled out the decisive third set 16-14.

Haley Brown paced CCS at the service line with six aces while Julianne Batten and Miranda Lamm each served five aces. Kylie Varnell added four aces.

The Cyclones will visit Sallie B. Howard School on Thursday.
