The Community Christian School volleyball team got off to a strong start to the season on Thursday, topping Sallie B. Howard 2-0 in Peace Church. 

The Cyclones won the two sets 26-24 and 25-11 over the Eagles.

Logan Hawkins and Miranda Lamm led the team with eight aces apiece, with Hawkins coming up with the clinching ace in the first set and Lamm adding a kill. Kaylee Mooring posted five aces. 

The Cyclones will hit the road to take on the Johnston County Jaguars on Friday.
