Dr. Steven Wall began his tenure as Headmaster at Community Christian School in June! We continue to give God the glory for His guidance over our school, our students, and our staff and teachers as we pray without ceasing for Dr. Wall in this role and welcome him to Community Christian School.
Dr. Wall is a career educator. He became a Christian in college through the ministry of a local YMCA. While serving as a camp counselor, he was surrounded by mature believers; through this experience, he learned that a relationship with Christ was a journey that involved continual submission to His Lordship. Since the day of his initial conversion, Dr. Wall has sought to walk in obedience to God's word and in the fellowship of like-minded believers.
Dr. Wall transitioned from his role as a teacher to an administrator upon completion of graduate school. Regarding Christian education, Dr. Wall sees it as a combination of two things: 1. Academic rigor and 2. Spiritual formation. Dr. Wall believes that the two generate a tension necessary to the mission of a Christian school. For students to utilize Christian thought, they must be knowledgeable about the material and they must know how to think.
Dr. Wall has been married to his wife, Carri, for eighteen years. They have two children, Carter and Coleson. Both boys will attend CCS in the fall. Dr. Wall enjoys cooking and grilling and spending time with his family. He received his bachelor's degree in science education from N.C. State University, his master's degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and his PhD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
