ROCKY MOUNT — Host New Life Christian Academy exploded for seven runs in the bottom of the third inning, turning a 5-1 Community Christian lead into a 12-7 defeat for the Cyclones.

Senior Luke Jones swatted a pair of doubles while classmate Rylan Gay was 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs. Jack Beamon also doubled for CCS, which dropped to 4-8 overall.

The Cyclones will visit New Life Academy in Elizabeth City on Thursday and travel to Windsor on Friday to take on Bethel Assembly Christian.
