Eight different players scored at least one goal for host Community Christian as it collected its sixth straight varsity girls soccer win with a 10-1 humbling of American Leadership Academy-Johnston on Tuesday.
The Cyclones pushed their overall ledger to 11-2-1 as they moved to 4-1 in Mid-Atlantic Christian Athletic Association 2-A North Region games. Community Christian, currently in second place in the region, will host first-place Christ Covenant of Winterville on Monday. It will also be Senior Night for Abigail Jackson and Savannah Ellis.
“Tonight was a great game for our girls as everyone got many minutes, and as the goals and assists show, it was a complete team effort,” praised CCS head coach Carl Bradshaw.
Aspen Evans and Ava Dunn each scored two goals for the Cyclones while Olivia Carter, Abril Ventura, Katelyn Brown, Tate Misback, Mary Abigail Lewin and Brooke Daniel each netted a goal. Evans doled out three assists while Barrett Godwin, Ventura, Brown and Misback each delivered one assist.
