The 2022-23 boys basketball season in the Times readership area featured the launch of a dynasty, several conference championships, a run to a state title game and standout individual seasons galore. 

That season was fueled by the members of the boys Wilson Times All-Area Team, the members of which distinguished themselves both on and off the court for their respective teams. 

Playing their first year in the new Mid-Atlantic Christian Athletic Association, the Community Christian boys made a run to the MACAA title game before falling to Jacksonville Christian. 

Seth Huston led the way as a do-it-all scorer for the Cyclones, averaging well over a double-double with 14.2 points and 14.5 boards per game, along with 2.4 assists, 2.3 steals and 2.3 blocks per game.
