After winning its first three games, Community Christian’s varsity baseball team is stuck in reverse as the Cyclones dropped their third straight, falling 13-0 in five innings at home against Gramercy Christian of Newport on Wednesday.
The loss evened the Cyclones’ Mid-Atlantic Christian Athletic Association South Region mark at 1-1.
Community Christian managed just two hits — singles off the bats of senior Ayden Smith and eighth grader Jack Beamon — and committed two errors. A trio of CCS hurlers allowed 11 hits but just seven earned runs.
The Cyclones remain home Thursday to face Ahoskie Christian.
