Community Christian pushed across three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning of Friday’s varsity baseball game against visiting Bethel Christian to give the Cyclones a 10-9 walk-off victory and keep them undefeated through three games.
Matthew Jackson led the CCS offense with a 2-for-4 showing that included two RBIs while senior Evan Barnill was 1 for 3 with two runs driven in. Aiden Smith doubled and scored twice while freshman Tyler Spivey was 1 for 4 with an RBI.
Freshman Colby Barnill, the third CCS pitcher of the day, picked up the win.
The Cyclones will look to extend their winning streak Tuesday, when they host New Life Academy from Elizabeth City.
