BUIES CREEK — The Community Christian School boys basketball team suffered an 80-71 defeat to Jacksonville Christian on Saturday in the Mid Atlantic Christian Athletic Association tournament championship game at Carter Gym on Campbell University’s campus.
Bryce Pittman led the Cyclones with 18 points, followed by Tavares Williams, Seth Huston and Ayden Smith with 14 apiece.
The team came out on top with a 65-64 overtime win over New Bern Christian in the semifinals on Friday night to advance to the championship game.
Pittman led again with 21 points, followed by Williams with 17 points and eight rebounds. Huston notched 13 points and 14 points for the double-double.
The Cyclones wrapped up their season with a 19-7 record.
