GREENVILLE — After a disappointing loss Monday at New Bern Christian that snapped the Community Christian School varsity boys basketball team’s five-game winning streak, the Cyclones ended their week with a 71-70 escape at Trinity Christian.
The win lifted CCS, 13-4 overall, to 4-2 in the North Carolina Christian Athletic Association’s Mid-Atlantic Conference.
Bryce Pittman led the Cyclones with 23 points to go with seven rebounds while Tavares Williams tallied 15 points and eight rebounds. Rylan Gay put up 17 points and came up with three steals while Jared Kovach had 10 points and five steals. Senior Ayden Smith contributed seven rebounds, five steals and two blocks.
Community Christian will travel to Kinston on Monday to take on Bethel Christian.
