Despite a strong night from senior Abigail Jackson, the Community Christian School girls basketball team could not find its way into the win column Friday night, falling 63-33 to North Carolina Christian Athletic Association 2-A North Region foe Gramercy Christian at Eastern North Carolina School for the Deaf.
The Cyclones, who tumbled to 0-8 overall on the season, found themselves in a 26-13 hole at halftime against the Warriors (15-4), and could not fight their way out of it in the second half.
Jackson led CCS with 16 points, four assists and three steals, and Aiyana Holmes posted a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds, eight of which came on the defensive glass.
The Cyclones hosted Christ Covenant at ENCSD Tuesday.
