Playing in the Barney Williamson Gym at Eastern North Carolina School for the Deaf for the first time in several years, Community Christian got a sneak peek at its home gym Tuesday with a 56-25 victory over ENCSD, which is fielding a boys team for the first time in a few years.
CCS, which used to play at Williamson Gym, will play several home games there later this season. The Cyclones improved to 3-0 under new head coach Derrick Atkinson while the Fighting Hornets were playing their season opener.
Cale Pittman led the Cyclones with 10 points while senior Ayden Smith supplied eight points and three steals and junior Tavares Williams added six points and six rebounds.
CCS will visit Jacksonville Christian on Monday, Nov. 21.
